check these two recent pics from NASA, the first is a patch of zircon on the earth's crust, which is 4.4 billion years old, the oldest material yet discovered by science. Also, I believe NASA announced today, for like the third time, it seems, the existence of definitive proof of the existence of water on the surface of Mars in its past. Delish.
